No they didn't, my 8 track tape player had knobs and I bought that new 
in 72. Matter of fact, I have a couple cassette players with knobs.
Now this modern crap with no knobs and a remote!
I go past the radio into the glove box on the A40 and search for the 
remote so I can change a station. Go figure!
