Rap is Trash
Yeah..takes everything "down" to the
lowest common denominator...nothing
"uplifting" about it...it's ALL "downhill".
Makes some people rich at considerable
expense (soul and spirit) to others. Offers
no reasonable solutions to societal
problems which are often the subject of
it's content. Nothing "constructive" about
it. It's got a beat but there's nothing
really "musical" about it to me...it
"bombards".
Does nothing to make the spirit "soar"
into brighter, sunlit skies...it's more
like flying into the hell of thunderstorms
and bad times.
Anyone for Simon & Garfunkel (when the
latter gets out of jail, of course!:).
