hmm.. so I have a MKII Tach..  it's red not blue.  The light on the 
Speedo is .. well, it doesn't appear to have a color lens.

Do the brackets that the hood catch engages (the vertical pieces with 
the holes in them) have adjustment, the hood latch doesn't seem to turn 
all the way.
