Yes, there is. I paint the silver with an acrylic lacquer and wait three or 
for days for it to cure. then with an enamel do the black and quickly wipe the 
silver part off with a rag dipped in enamel reducer. NO tape to deal with. it 
takes some practice but works great once you do it a few times. Good Luck.
