But the E-Clip IS original on the MGB (at least that is what is pictured in
the Bentley manual), so it really doesn't qualiffy as "some aftermarket
manufacturers bad idea". It is actually a solution engineered by the British
car industry. At this point, I would hesitate to state unequivocally that no
Spridgets came from the factory with E-Clips. After all, they were built on
the same lines as the MGB and were subject to cross-contamination ;-)
