Thread-topic: Seat Covers
I have a seat cover question as well. I'm in the process of recovering
the seats for my 62 Sprite. I'm using AH spares covers for the BE/MKII
(948) but using the pans and backs from my 64. They appear to be the
same except the 64 uses a formed foam padding on the back that doesn't
seem to fit the early style cover. The 62 had a horsehair/jute type
padding.

Has anyone used the formed foam padding with the BE style cover? Am I
stuck with jute type padding?

I'm using new foams for the seat bottom and that is working out well.

Mine were a kit that I got from another lister and they look wonderful.
I
am very pleased with both the fit and the quality. I don't know what
their
original source was.
