as far as oils go, i usually ask myself a simple question.
DO THEY RACE IT? nothing stresses engines (or any other part
for that matter) like racing. i'm not talking about getting
some sponsor to support a local effort, but BIG TIME racing,
like CART, NHRA, F1, LeMans, you get the idea. i waited a long
time before i saw Mobil 1 in the big leagues, but now it's
there. i don't know of any other synthetic (just cause i don't
know about another doesn't mean there aren't any!) that races
and WINS in the big leagues. after that i have no more
questions about using it in anything, except for price! if my
engine would hold it in for 5000 miles, i'de use it even at the
price! even 5w30! but i can't justify it at 1000 miles/quart.
