hi, Nory...

Yep. Since I had no collision, I had to handle this myself, with the
other guy's
(he was at fault...got a summons for
"unsafe lane change") insurance company
who at first, were somewhat less than cooperative. The circumstances
were such the other guy was 100% at fault,
earning a summons for an "unsafe lane
change".

After initial "delay"....
I was suddenly made whole financially
(and with much rapidity) upon
the submission of evidence originated
by a prominent FAA Medical Doctor
who after conducting a thorough physical
found solid evidence of a
concussion with attendant periods of
blurred vision (very serious for a guy
who made his living as a commerical
pilot).

I would let my insurance agent handle
this if at all possible and remain uninvolved. You should definitely
have
requested an ambulance at the scene
and complained of back pain immediately
(it can be a cruel world out there, depending upon who you are dealing
with)
of course.

If you did not do the above, then it is
quite possible you might be feeling back
paing by this time.

Hopefully none of this will be necessary
and you will get a fair shake without having to resort to less than
honorable
behaviour to be "made whole".

Some insurance companies take their
responsibilities seriously and are a pleasure to deal with. Some are
not.

Best of luck to you in this.
