Well Lester,

I did what you're doing when I finished my bugeye in 1999. I went from a
tilt ramp trailer to an enclosed. 1st one I bought was a 6x14 with a ramp
door and a side door. Ramp door was great but I had to push the car in and
out cause I didn't have enough width to allow me to open a door. Well, that
lasted about 1 yr and I traded up. Went to a 7 x 16 and it's much much
better. I can drive the car right into the trailer and get in and out of
the car no problem. I would suggest that you get one with a double axel and
one that has brakes. When you get up to that size, brakes are a must. The
side door is very helpful too, most of them have one now, but some don't and
they are a plus. Wwould also suggest getting a stablizer package too. This
keeps the trailer from swaying left to right as you're going down the road.
Pretty easy to install too. I bought a "Pace" American and it's a very nice
unit. Has vents in the sides so the air can flow through and also has one
in the roof as well that cranks open. Make sur e the roof is sealed well and
hasd a guarentee, again most do. Of course like anything else, the bigger
you go, the pricier they get. My last thought would be to tell you to check
out Ebay under cargo or utility trailers. You can find some nice buys in
there. Good luck Lester

Morning all,

I have decided it's time to take the next step and purchase an
enclosed trailer. I'm guessing something in the 16' to 24' range, ramp
rear door, bumper pull. Anyone have any suggestions/cautions/
experience?

Lester

.. or a used trailer at a great price??
