1275s only used lock tabs on the oil pump, flywheel, cam nut, and 
harnomic balancer.
But do use some loctite on the main bolts.

As for the bolts vs studs on the t/stat, it's a good move.
I opt for stainless bolts to aid in removal of it later on.
