The tank wire goes down in the back of the tank, rear most hole in the
boot floor. It runs down the center of the gas tank.
Now is also a good time to run a seperate ground wire from one of the
sending unit screws to a good ground. Although the tank is bolted to the
body for a ground, it's also mounted on those rubber strips which can
(and do) impeed the ground resulting is lots of head scratching when the
fuel gauge doesn't work.
If an electric fuel pump is in your future, run that wire now too.
A white one to keep with the color codes.
