I have owned two extremely unmolested Sprites that had the yellow on them. 
One a Bugeye and one a Mk II Sprite.  Also a few of my more molested Sprites 
that had it also.  I guess some were stock that way.

I remember back in the mid 80's there was a fellow in Maryland with an 
extremely nice OEW Bugeye and he had the yellow tips and the Judges actually 
deducted points and he threw a serious fit over that.  I think some of the 
judges now recognize that as stock in a restoration.
