Hood Interchangability?

Can anyone tell me if a hood from a rubber-bumper Midget will fit a '74
chrome-bumper car?  They look and measure up identical, but I wanted to make
sure.  Turns out the seller of my replacement hood from got a little mixed up
on his dates.

These things have a safety latch?!?!  Geez, I wouldn't be in this mess if mine
were still attached!  Chalk another one up to the P.O.
