 Yep...for this discussion, which is about collector cars.
 I'd say that about 85% of car buyers have no interest in cars, other than
transportation. They buy every three or four years and take the car to the
dealer or their trusted shop for all repairs. They never reach 100K miles.
They just want the heater and AC to work and the car should start every day.
 The 15% that buy the rest want whatever is cheeep so they can run it into
the ground and discard it, or they are collectors who actually care for
their car and do the proper maintenance. The collector segment is probably
pretty small.
 Only time will tell if an aftermarket is created to supply or repair ECUs
that are discontinued. I was able to have my Mitsubishi ECH reparied by a
guy in Florida for less than half what a new one would have cost, and I
removed and replaced it myself. But the shear number of different computers
may make this a difficult business to maintain.
