Let's see, Oak Hill Naval Reserve ( a large oil field in so-cal) has a 20
year supply that has been ready to pump since WW2. The Saudis have a field
that has been explored and is ready to pump, that is larger than the one
they have been pumping from since they started selling it. The problem is
it is super light crude and if they started pumping it gas prices would be
around 25C a gallon. So twenty years, more like two hundred years supply
right there. Let's not even talk about the coal and shale oil reserves in
the U.S. that happen to be the largest in the world. I think in 500 or 600
years it could be a real problem because it isn't a renewable resource. I
could even see gas at $20 a gal in 20 years, but not from a lack of supply.
                Crash

You think there'll be gas in 20 years or so? Hydrogen has to take over as
the main fuel source, at some point, doesn't it?
