I bought a new one for our '65 MGB that had a "C" on the knob. Not sure if
it is the same, but as I recall it was not too expensive and was from one of
the usual suspects.

Been doing alot of surfing and searching lately. Trying to find one of the
last "difficult" parts for my 62 Mk2 948 Sprite. The darn choke cable, of
all things. I can find one (and may actually have one) that will work, but
I'm picky. Looking for one with the "C" on the knob. Used in good condition
is best for me, but even if the cable or outer sheathing is damaged, I can
make it work OK, as long as the knob is there, and the stem that attaches to
the dash.
Thanks much, contact me off list if you can help. Any obscure contacts
appreciated also, I've tried everyone I've stumbled on on the net.
