I do not have an answer for this question and was not able to find any good
info on the web.

What is the correct vacuum advance for the Sprite, 948, series 1& 2?

What I know is that each vacuum advance is marked by the vacuum take off
(screw/push on end) with a coding:
i.e.
5.12.8 (this is for a big Healey)

NB: Advance begins at 5 inches of mercury vacuum is complete at 12 inches
of mercury vacuum and provides 8 degrees of distributor advance.

In stock:

3.10.10 - recent purchase, push on connection
5.12.05 - from DM2 distributor on sprite
5.13.10 - ex big Healey - scrap
7.13.5 - from 25D distributor on Mk1 Midget parts car (does not work)

also, I am told:
7.18.12 - Healey BN1 spec
5.17.10 - Healey BN2 spec
5.12.8 - BN4 to BJ8 spec
3.14.8 - 997 & 998 Mini High CR
4.14.7 997 Mini low CR
3.16.7 998 Mini low CR
5.13.10 - MGB Chrome Bumper & 1098 Midget
5.12.6 - MG Midget
7.14.10 - MGA Twin cam & MKII
5.13.3 - post 71 Midget
and so on!

If you can add to this collection, or debunk any of it please let me know.

Cheers,
Martyn
