Haven't heard of this problem but assuming you are getting spark to plugs....
get out some gas cans and toss them into
the SUV. Head down to the gas station and
fill to the extent required to top off your
Spridget. Or just siphon the required gas
from the SUV!
Drain/empty the bowls.
Dis-connect the fuel line at the carb and
energize the ign to be sure the elect. pump
is doing it's thing
Assuming it is, re-connect and crank for
attempted restart.
(You may have to pull the plugs to dry them
out before attempted restart)
