Those of us signed up for the 2006 Babe Rally received an email tonight.

revised route. Fortunately for us participants, someone told Justin (the
perpetrator) about the Tail of the Dragon, so he decided to check it out. It
is now on the rally route ;-) Allow me to quote a little bit of his blurb:
"About half way up the climb, the Dragon's Tail starts. It's 11 miles with
310 curves, so that'll be 1 curve every 50 yards. When you think about it,
it doesn't seem right. I mean... 1 curve every 50 yards for 11 miles. Let me
tell you now - it's true.
Some people had likened Deals Gap to Switzerland. Well I'm not sure what
bits of Switzerland they've been to but it's nothing like Switzerland.
Deal's Gap is out there on its own and comparing it to Switzerland just
doesn't do it justice. To coin a phrase, they are chalk and cheese. If
anything, I would say that Deal's Gap is more like the World Rally
Championship stages for the Monte Carlo rally, except much harder."
I guess we will have to put a little more effort into the front suspension
of Mickey now. Thanks, Justin!
