a guy in the Singer club a few years ago got a new master and wheel
cylinders and could not get it to bleed properly, either by old
fashioned pumping or by a vacuum bleeder. He talked to our parts guy
who is a mechanic for a living and his answer was, pressure bleeder
is the only way on new systems. He said he used vacuum systems at
the shop because they are so easy and mess free but when he put in
new masters he always used the pressure bleeder.
I got a pressure bleeder and it really worked well at taking the
paint off, it would not seal very well at the master and spewed fluid
everywhere. Got a vacuum bleeder for xmas, no more mess.
