There is something out there that will polish out wiper scratches in 
windshields.
I had an XJ6 with a polished windshield. It was horrible when it rained, 
you could not see anything as the glass was no longer flat.
I ended up replacing the windshield.

I also tried to polish out some scratches on a side window once.
I replaced that window too.
You will do more damage trying to polish it.
Just bite the bullet and replace it.
