CD is coefficient of Drag... Basically there are three things that aid a
car in going fast... Horsepower, Traction and how slippery the body is to
the wind...

Coefficient of Drag is simply a measurement of how well a car gets thru the
air.. ( which is like molasses at speed ) The average passenger car has a
CD of around .38- .45 something that is really slick like the 85 Firebird
has a CD of .32... a 68 Camaro or a 68 Manaro has a CD of .45 ( read not
very slick )

Donald Healeys Streamliner from 56 was most likely around .19 or so... (
Read VERY slick ) the lower the number the less Horsepower that is
required.... keep in mind that Donald went 203 mph with only 300hp... an
incredible number... to do that he had to have a wickedly slick car...

Once again it just proves there isn't much new in life... we're simply
re-learning stuff that has been passed down... combining it with other
information and coming up with solutions to new problems..
