Hey Bradster,
You've obviously missed the point. It's masochism!!! And the best
part about it is getting to be miserable in front of a whole crowd of
your friends!
I learned back in the 60s that the only time racing is really "fun" is
when the sponsors are paying for everything, the crew and mechanics
are doing all the complicated stuff, and all you have to do is sip
wine with the ladies and then jump in the car and drive like a
loonatic on the Dallas freeways... ;-)
