  I have a great wife, she did not mind the stink :)

   The last time however was with nasty paints and you don't want to 
be breathing those fumes so we spent the night in a really nice local 
hotel (the really nice part was her idea for me evicting her from her 
house, so was the nice dinner), next morning the house was fine no 
fumes/smell left.

   You could also look into renting a booth from a local body shop if 
you can get the car there, some shops used to rent over the weekend 
in this area, don't know if they still do because of potential liabilities.
