I had a cool go-kart when I was younger. I went through many cables
until one day my dad brought home the best cable ever. It was solid,
not stranded. It outlasted the stranded cables by at least ten
times. I dunno how well or even if it would work for a Spridget
accelerator, but it may be worth a look.
I am not sure about the "correctness" of your setup but the trouble
you describe is certainly not necessary.
What you should have can be seen in the mo$$ catalog on pages 20 and
21. They are called cable stops. I think you can access the mo$$
catalog online. VicBrit probably has the same info available. Look
at the pics and compare it to what you have. If it is different, you
should be able to correct is pretty easily. Another lister can
probably send you what you need for little or nothing. LMK and I'll
see what I have.
