Man is this a big tease....
So I've been working with David Freiburger for a couple of years... we've been
racing the Camaro at Bonneville.... since he's the editor in chief of Hot Rod
magazine I got a bit of an in there.... What you guys gotta love is that he
allowed me into the Archives at Hot Rod here a couple of weeks ago and I got
to see the Pictures they took at Bonneville's Speedweek in 1953, 54, and
56.... Dahhh Duhhhh Yep there were 8 pictures of Donald Healey at speedweek
in 1953.... The car is the first 100-4 cylinder that he took out there and set
several records with.... best of all there is even an interior shot of the
car... and it looks like it was a 100S
Seems that in the two later years they ran on salt after or just before
speedweek... so there were no magazine photo's in the archive... but the 53
pictures were a real treat to me....
If and when I ever get copies of them I'll be sure to forward them to Alan so
he can put them in the Museum with the steering wheel...
Just wanted to share the treat with you guys even if you can't see the
pictures just yet...now you know they exist.
