Looking at the books, parts catalogues, etc...
On '67 Sprites onward there is a rod and brackets holding the top of
the windshield frame to the scuttle.
On the '65 Sprite there is no rod etc. holding the top of the
windshield frame to the scuttle.
My question is...
Was the rod added to stop the top from pulling off the top of the
windshield frame on all Spridgets of any year?
Or was it only needed when the change was made to a rag top frame that
was a permanent part of the body??
And as there is no rod in my Sprite - should I consider fitting one??
