Compact fluorescents use less energy to make the same amount of light.
They last longer.

Lighter fluid and fingernail polish remover are among many "hazardous
waste" products that can be found in just about any American
household.
The sump of your auto is filled with dangerous hazardous waste.
Those incandescent bulbs are also hazardous waste, espcially when broken.

LEDs are better for auto apps like blinkers, brake lights, and running lights.

How long has that hole been in the ozone layer?  Why does it change size?
