last year one of, none other than PAUL A's customers
complained about Paul's rebuild. NONE of the synchro's worked.
Paul and i went to examine the culprit, and sure enough, it
was as if it were a non-synchro box.. Paul rebuilt it again,
with the same result. now its not like he hadn't rebuilt them
before, or EVER does sloppy work.......... turned out on the
third try Paul found that some the the Brass looking pieces
that are kinda like star washers but about 2 " in diameter....
i don't know the name of them at all, not being a tranny guy,
BUT.. they were now coming from a different source IN the
factory rebuild kit, and they were WRONG... . .he went thru
about 20 of them and had less than half of them being the
correct.. ... thickness?.... ....... .....
just a caveat to those contemplating doing it themselves. just
because you've done it absolutely correctly with the factory
parts available, doesn't mean that the tranny will work!!!!!!
get a hold of Paul, find out what the exact part is and what
it SHOULD measure!!!!!!!
