It hasn't been a big deal in my experience. I have an Eagle lift, for
many years now. I don't have either a bridge jack or the bridge tray.
Instead, I often use 2x6s between the ramps, sometimes jack from there
with either scissors jacks or bottle jacks. (I have several scissors
jacks obtained from swap meets at an average of $5 per. They are great
for making minute height adjustments when working on a particular
component.) I have never been concerned with jacking the car from
underneath because it really can't fall anywhere. I also made a short
"sawhorse" from heavy 2x2 tubing which stands on the ramps in the same
space an expensive jack bridge would sit. From that, I can use wood
blocks to the car frame rails or other substantive structure to support
the car. I have done rear axle and spring work on my Sprites like
this. Depending on the car, I can also jack from the ramp/tread surface
to the underside of the car and jack from there.
