OK - I'll wade in to  this mess... 
Sway bars obviously  reduce body roll by coupling the suspension on the left 
side of the car to the  suspension on the left.  By design the sway bars 
reduce the degrees  of body roll by increasing roll resistance without 
increasing 
spring  rate.  In a race car you want to see about 1 to 3 degrees (radials 
differ  from bias plys) negative camber for maximum traction. Reducing roll  
resistance will reduce traction losses due to camber change (the heavily  
loaded 
outside front tire will go positive as the body rolls).
