It is not the salesman who tells the truth that makes the computer
sale, it is the one who tells the customer what he wants to hear.

Then it is the fault of the highly-trained technician installing the
equipment when the equipment does not do what the salesman promised,
even if the manual states unequivocally that it will not.

Does that make me want to be a salesman? No. It does not. I am happy
to earn my living with the skill of my hands and my intelligence. Much
of that skill was aquired doing manual labor and in shop classes. I
searched in vain for college classes that would promote such skills.
The bulk of today's kids will not have the opportunities that I value
most and most of them do not want them. This culture has no respect
for people who can actually DO something vs the MBA mentality. Oh
well.
