3/8" hose with 1/4" fittings is common. You can also get high flow Amflo connectors that have a larger hole. I don't remember the part numbers. AFAIK, Sears is the only place that sells air hoses with a female connector on one end. I don't know why that is. I don't know where to find non-Chinese hose, so I'm being careful with what I have.
