This is common that the fan comes off with the 1500 fan clutch. The crush
rings that Vicky and Moss sell are no good. I have seen them pull off with a
tug. You have to find a good factory spec. crush ring and then make sure that
it is well seated. IB attempted to have the water pump shaft drilled and
tapped for a retainer bolt, the shaft is so hard that the machine shop
couldn't dent it with their tools. I have not had a fanB eject yet but it is a
matter of time with a new 1300 race engine that I amB about to install.
Electric fan sounds like good idea to me if you are going to run hard. -----

If all you installed was the clutch and blades, you missed the "one
time use only" crush ring. B Moss 071-239 It is a corrugated collar
that deforms when the clutch is pressed on. Meant to lock it. But....
if that was installed NEW, then there must be another issue.
