For info the dimensions of the V16 1488cc engine were:

Bore 49.53 mm (1.95 in) 
Stroke 48.26 mm (1.90 in)

So only just over-square.

I would think that an 11,000RPM engine must be pretty over-square.
Personally, I don't care for the sound of 11,000RPM.  Under-square engines
usually have a much nicer tone.
