Kent was right.  I haven't seen your car, of course, but from your concerns
I'm willing to bet your best bet is to strip what you can use off the tub,
get a used tub in better condition and build it up into your car.  If you
are worried about the car splitting open when rolled over, it is already too
far gone to save unless you are a true masochist.

Decent bodies are not THAT hard to find!
