"I will nominate you for Sainthood if you can make something even remotely sturdy and driveable out of it." Jim's post seems to echo the sentiment of most of the list. I think that tonight I will spend some painful time honestly assessing the car. So I can be realistic, if I am buying a new tub, it will be as part of an assembled, running car. I hear stories of people finding such cars for $500, are these deals at all common, and where would I find such a beast? If I honest, my current MG has nice steering wheel and a good roll bar. Most other parts probably need to be replaced. (It's actually better than that, but not by much.) Drew |
