Pulled this info off of  the Spitfire/GT Magazine website.  Scroll down to 
the section on EGR Valves.

Apparently it is 3/4 x 24 fine thread which is the size of the 1930 Ford 
Model A oil pan drain plug.

The Air rail plugs in the head are 7/16-20 by 1/2 inch long.
