On an unrelated note, to my broken valve spring retainer, I think.

This 1275 has had Excessive Crankcase pressure for a while and seems to be =
getting worse.
It has a breather off the old fuel pump boss going to a catch can.
Valve cover has a breather to atmosphere and vented cap.
Highway driving, 65 mph, which is about 4200 in my car, will fill the 1 pin=
t catch can in about 50 miles!
It will also try to push the Dip Stick out
Driving around town/back roads, varied rpm, it's not too bad.
It will take a while to fill the catch can.
Compression is 172-180 in all 4 cylinders. So I thought must be rings.
Did a Leakdown test.
TDC, throttle open, Valve cover off, Rad cap off, dip stick out, gauge set =
to 100psi.
Has 0 leakdown in all 4. 0!
WTH?
Car runs great, very good power, tho it does smoke out the tail pipe some.
Could it be bore taper? i.e. Seal at top is good but excessive space at the=
bottom =BD or so of bore??
Can that be checked w/o pulling the head?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Brian S.
Bugeyeracer resto'ed Thanks to Frank C.!
