It is with great sadness that I was informed by his son Donthat his Dad Jef=
f Kelly passed away recently from an aggressive form of cancerat age 85.=20
Don asked me to inform SMRS friends of his passing and putit in my own word=
s.=20
Jeff was loved by all in the SMRS paddock from his constantlaughter and joy=
of being in a racing environment and usually would be seen adjustingDon=E2=
=80=99s SUs and helping Don make the next session or race weekend.=C2=A0 Je=
ff and his wonderful wife Mary were alwaysa great example of what a married=
couple should be trying to out laugh eachother.=C2=A0 Racing Bug Eye Sprit=
es was alwaysa Kelly family tradition starting with Jeff racing SCCA 1971-8=
4.=C2=A0 He had 2 Bug Eyes he raced and Don continues toVintage Race one of=
them.=C2=A0 The other wasconverted back to the street in 2008 in time to e=
njoy the 50threunion of Sprites.=C2=A0 Both Mary and Jeffin their 80s could=
be found in their Bug Eye making it to Don=E2=80=99s races in theheat of t=
he Midwest Summer.=C2=A0 I willalways remember the day that Don completed h=
is VSCDA Driver School at Gingermanwith his Dad by his side hugging him wit=
h great joy.=C2=A0 Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kellyfamily.=C2=A0=
