Todd; I think the carbs were fine when new, it's just that 30 years of
wear can't be compensated for with a simple box of rebuild parts, I think
this accounts fot the status of most of the original carbs. The easiest way
to determine the ratio is thus- turn the wheel hub 1 revolution while you
count the number of turns the driveshaft flange turns. You might want to
mark each with chalk so you'll know where 1 rotation is. My pinion turned
@ 3 3/4 revs for 1 turn of the wheel hub, so the nearest listed gearset is
the 3.71:1.
