I sent this info to Jeff, but the thread may be of general interest:
My Tiger came with this finisher strip removed, and no trace of what
held it, so I can't help you there. But you may want to consider how
I put it back on. I used plastic screws and nuts to hold all of the
grille parts in place. Plastic lic. plate screws and nuts, and 4-40
pan head stuff. The heads of these will slide inside the trim, maybe
after a bit of filing, and then you put the nut on the back. I think
for the strip over the top, the heads weren't wide enough, so I made
up some "washers" out of old epoxy circuit board. There's no rust of
"Dissimilar metals" problems to worry about. I did the same with the
side trim strips.
I did all of this in 1977, so I don't remember the specifics of what
size went where, but it should be obvious once you get started.
Nothing's fallen off yet, and it comes right off when I want to remove
it.

Rather than the little circle "snaps", they are long rectangles (1/2" long
or so). My concern is that they will make it even harder to take off the
finisher the next time - or do you just pull the little plastic push rod
out from the bottom to release them?
