No, I'm not talking about any impending structural failure of a Sunbeam
component. Last night, Susan asked me to carve our Halloween Jack-o-
lantern, and I got carried away. Jack's grin now spells out "TIGER" in
his pumpkin teeth. I should get film for our camera, and submit a picture
for the 1998 TE/AE calendar (or is Kevin Meeks doing a cyber-calendar
again _this_ year?).
On another note, I do get a lot of comments at the office about my Dennis
Simon car-theme ties-- I wonder if there are enough of us to interest
him in acepting a commission on a Tiger, or Rootes, tie for us? I don't
know the business side involved (I am in Purchasing, but only in truckload
palletized shipments, and there ain't no way), perhaps one of us in-the-trade
would know, or be interested in getting involved. I bring it up as Mr. Simon
allegedly lives about an hour from here, and might respond differently to
a personal approach. Hey, if I'd even consider dropping thirty bucks for
a Mercedes or Porsche tie, I'm sure I'd be happier with Sunbeam neckwear.
Is anybody here on the Alpine List? Maybe they would go for a Tiger/Alpine/
Rapier/Imp/Venezia tie, just to get the #'s up (and the unit cost down).
