Hey, everybody:
I figured that I would address a situation that has had me wondering for
quite a while about the clutch pedal on my Mk1A. This is the fourth Tiger
I have owned since 1979, albeit the first Mk1A. The rest were Mk1s. I
have seen quite a few Tigers in this part of the country also and none of
them, nor my previous three, have shared this trait with my current Mk1A,
B382001600.
The clutch pedal on my car only has one adjustment hole in it, whereas
the
brake pedal has the usual two. Of course, the pedals do not line up and
there is no way to get them to do so, short of having the hole welded up
and re-drilling two adjustment holes in it. Has anybody else run across
this situation before? As someone stated the other day in this forum, you
can't neccessarily take the factory shop manual as gospel, however, the
picture in the manual of the clutch hydralic system does clearly illustrate
two holes in the clutch pedal for adjustment. I realize the pedal
illustrated there is of the Mk1 type; mine is the smaller faced pedal pad
Mk1A type. But, mine is also the only one I have ever seen with one hole.
Could this be a factory foul up? Could it be a pedal out of another Rootes
product? It obviously works okay, but I would really rather have an
adjustable pedal in there so I could line up the pedals (picky, picky).
Any input would be appreciated.

                                                Tigerin' Okie,
                                                Andy Walker
                                                B382001600
