Stu, When I bought my Tiger a couple of years ago there were a lot of
spare parts in the trunk. Included in that bunch was a Jaeger Fuel Gauge
that looks like what you describe with the slits. Attached to the
bracket which fastens it to the dash is a single bulb that would
illuminate the gauge face from external through the slits. The only
identifying # on the gauge I can find are FG253O/63. I do not know what
the gauge fits, but it looks brand new and does not work in my Tiger.
Let me know if you would like a drawing/pic of the bracket with the
light. Of course if you have something I can't live without, I might be
willing to turn loose of the bracket.......Jay Peterson
