Calcats: The bill to exempt 25 year and older cars from the dreaded Smog
II testing passed the Assembly Transportation Committee 17-0 with 4
Abstentions. Next step is the Assembly Appropriations Committee (minor
fiscal impact). The sponsor, State Sen. Kopp, provided email addresses of
the members and they are shown below. Please contact these folks (and
other car enthusiasts) and encourage their support of SB42. After this it
goes to the full Assembly and the Gov. who has said that he will sign it.
