I saw a hot-rod article a while back that said there is a kit to attach a
Corvette 6-speed to a Ford engine. Anybody ever measure this set-up to
see if it would fit in a TIGER?
John-
I forget whether the Corvette is a ZF or Borg Warner T56...I do know that Tom
Hall recently got a hold of one of the very few T56's available with a Ford
six bolt bellhousing and is in the process of CAD analysis of dimensions vis a
vis the Tiger tranny tunnel and other possible areas of conflict. Knowing Tom,
it will fit, or he would not have laid out the cash for the tranny.
Also, a T5 will fit without sheetmetal alteration if the correct tail shaft
housing is used. I believe a Chevy S-10 type application is the correct piece.
