What if all the clubs and vendors worked together on this to create a 
complete Rootes registry. YES it's big! 

Not just modified Alpines, or politically correct Tigers but all Rootes 
cars. As a whole it would make sense and aide in the awareness of our 
classics. I would much rather by an Alpine that I had some idea of its 
history rather than a questionable vehicle.

This would also give us a source to help in finding the stolen vehicles too.

How about one simple plate that could be issued by any of the 
participating bodies (club or vender or TAC) and all of the participating 
bodies have access to the data for future reference. The plate could have 
the VIN, inspecting body, date and registry ID#. I think you would have a 
large number of people participate if it weren't based on any "judging of 
quality" simply a registration and inspection. 

No matter what type of Rootes automobile you have and no matter if it is 
stock or custom. The pertinant data such as original equipment or 
personal modifications would we kept on file only for reference.
