Colin
I received a top shipped by motor freight many years ago. It was
crated in a wood structure that could take punishment from every direction,
only falling from a tall building might have damaged it. The crate was
nailed together with twist shank nails and it took me a couple of hours to
disassemble.
I suggest you contact the motor freight company and ask how they
will crate the top and also ask about their insurance policy just in case
something happens.

Hey Gang,

Has anybody ever had a nice top shipped cross country via motor
freight? How is the top protected to avoid damage?
