Thanks for your reply!

People I have spoken to here have said that these heads are'nt compatible
because Ford changes the valve configuration at the centre of the head for
the fuel injected heads. Where previously cylinder 2 & 3 exhaust valves sat
next to each other in the head, they were later changed so that there was an
inlet valve between them. (Not having seen my old heads, or a new set at
this stage, I'm only going from telephone discussions).

What all this means is that to fit them you need to use the late model inlet
manifold and outlet manifolds. Not a convenient option considering the fuel
injected manifold looks like a bunch of silver bananas.
